Graves of Prominent Filipinos Look Neglected and Unvisited in #Undas2016

With its long history as a nation, the Philippines has had thousands of heroes and prominent figures; sadly, many of these people now lie forgotten in cemeteries across the country.

Even in cemeteries in Metro Manila, a number of these graves remain neglected and unvisited – despite many of these people having had contributed a lot to the history and honor of the Philippines.

Take for example the graves of some Philippine presidents, including those of Sergio Osmeña (who served as the fourth President of the Philippines), Manuel Roxas (fifth president), and Ramon Magsaysay (seventh president).

Of course, it is still November 1 – and their families could actually visit sometime in the night or on November 2, or even afterwards to avoid the crowds in the cemetery; however, it was sad to see that in some of these graves, only the flowers sent by incumbent Pres. Rodrigo Duterte can be seen as lone evidence that someone visited the tombs of these prominent Filipinos…

Meanwhile, other popular figures like the late Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago had plenty of flowers and visitors.
