As a tough guy with a kind heart, it is easy to envision Chief Bato as an Indian Chief, too – and this he showed to us by wearing a costume with the chief’s grand headdress, a huge spear, and a shield with his name on it.
Doesn’t he look the part perfectly? Though some netizens commented that it would have been better if the chief had ditched the shirt and maong pants in favor of authentic Indian clothing, too! Hmmmm. What do you think?
Perfect? Have it ever occur into your minds that a Native American headress (which does not apply in the Philippines in the first place) and a Native Filipino shield and spear do not go together? Who ever had the idea of making this ridiculous (in my eyes) picture is ignorant of cultural differences and makes Chief Dela Rosa look like a clown (in my eyes again). Bwahahaha!
