Mocha Uson is one of the most vocal celebrity supporters of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, constantly posting news and photos of what the president is doing, some of which do not make it to mainstream media news; thus, she is hailed by many as the voice of Duterte supporters.
For the same reason, however, she’s gained the hate of Duterte’s critics who believe that she is sowing lies and making up news just to put the president in a good light when these detractors believe that the president has not done anything worthwhile.
One of these critics, Paul Quilét, has launched a petition on Change.org for Facebook to suspend Mocha’s Facebook page.
Within a day after it was launched, the petition has gained over 27,000 supporters. It is, however, unclear whether Facebook will listen to the petition and suspend Facebook page, Mocha Uson Blog. If that happens, it would certainly be a huge loss for Mocha as the page has over 4.3 million followers and actually has a huge post reach/engagement also amounting to millions – even much higher compared with the post reach/engagement of local mainstream media!
