It could not be denied that Boracay is still one of the top destinations in the Philippines, receiving millions of tourists each year – both local tourists and foreigners.
The fastest way to Boracay from Manila or other locations is to take a plane to Caticlan. But because Boracay is actually in another island altogether from Caticlan, people have to take another ride to the ferry plus another land transfer which would bring them to their final destination.
To bring more tourists to Boracay and shorten the travel time, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) is now mulling the installation of cable cars to connect Caticlan to Boracay, thereby cutting out the need for travelers to take other forms of transport to reach the island.

With this plan, the cable car station will be installed within or right beside Caticlan Airport; thus, upon arrival at the airport, travelers need only to walk to the station and they would soon be zipping out to Boracay!
Wouldn’t that be exciting? I can’t wait for this project to become a reality!
