With very efficient packing operations at the main warehouse in Pasay City, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was able to quickly pack and deliver relief supplies for the victims of Typhoon Lawin in Ilocos Norte.
The batch of goodies that arrived in Ilocos Norte on Thursday will be distributed to the typhoon victims in addition to the first batch of relief goods already given from the local DSWD offices.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Lilian Rin said that the 5,000 boxes will be distributed immediately to the typhoon victims, with one family set to receive one box each.
According to ABS-CBN News, the province estimates that there were 2,080 families who evacuated from their homes; however, since there were also those who did not evacuate from their homes, the relief goods will not only be distributed to the evacuation centers but will most likely be made available for the other families, too.
We commend the DSWD, with Sec. Judy M. Taguiwalo at its helm, for the fast and efficient packing, delivery, and release of the boxes of relief goods to the typhoon victims. We all hope that the goods will truly reach the intended recipients and that no food will ever come to waste and be buried again!
Just didtribute it okay, no grandstanding enough!
