A young boy in Calinan, Davao City in the Philippines has earned the admiration of thousands of social media users after photos of him studying under the light of a streetlamp went viral on Facebook page, Tambayan ni Berto Worldwide.
Social media user Brian Parantar chanced upon the young boy one day. He was so touched by the boy’s dedication towards working on his school assignments that took some photos and shared it on social media to serve as inspiration to other kids out there who have complete school materials and electricity in their comfortable homes yet do not do their homework diligently because of various excuses.
The boy’s study area was under a streetlamp – which is quite a dangerous spot considering that it was right beside the road and he was already crouching on the street! We could only hope that he doesn’t meet an accident while studying there and that someone can help him have a better place to study, not there beside that dangerous spot on the road…
