A staunch supporter of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Enage created the Duterte painting just in time for the president’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA) last Monday.

After the SONA, Enage expressed admiration over the president’s statements, particularly when Duterte said he will not point fingers at past administrations but will move forward and make the present better. According to ABS-CBN News, Enage said in the vernacular, “Instead of blaming the past, let’s just focus on making the present better.”
He also hopes that the president will check on the survivors of Yolanda – and such is not a far-off wish, considering that Duterte was among the prominent personalities who actually went to the typhoon-hit areas in the early days after the massive natural calamity to distribute aid, even when there were plenty of reports of looting and hijacking of aid convoys.
