Nowadays, we often see news and read social media posts about people falling prey to sexual harassment and other forms of abuse not only from foreigners but from Filipinos as well. Younger ladies and women are always advised to stay vigilant and alert of their surroundings as there are many perverts scattered in public and even private places.
This is similar to what a young lady suffered from. A man pretending to be a regular shopper was caught in the act of taking a video footage of the woman fitting some clothes in a female dressing room of a famous boutique in SM Aura.
Caught in the Act
Recently, a Facebook user named Chezca Jane Figueroa posted a series of videos letting people know about the incident she suffered while trying to shop for some clothes in a famous clothes shop in SM Aura. According to Chezca, she encountered a pervert in the boutique who was taking a video footage of her while she was busy fitting clothes inside the female dressing room.
Chezca immediately felt that something is wrong and saw a small camera that the suspect is using to film her.
Anti-Voyeurism Law Violation
According to the young woman, the pervert allegedly violated the Anti-Voyeurism Law and alerted the security of Forever 21 where she is shopping. With the help of the shop’s manager, they reported the incident to the Municipality of Taguig.
She was able to retrieve the camera that the suspect used to film her. However, the camera’s memory card was lying on the floor and was already broken. When his phone was inspected, everything was deleted as well.
When taken to the precinct, the unnamed suspect pleaded for his freedom because he’s a family man.
