Instead of Receiving the Television She Ordered, Netizen Receives a USB Cord!

The Internet made our lives easier and faster: from working to studying, communicating and shopping. Internet revolutionized business processing and retailing. From actual shopping in malls, people can now visit online shopping platforms, browse for products that they want, select those they fancy and wait for them to reach their homes without moving physically or leaving their houses.

No matter how convenient online shopping is, it still comes with its own risk. Different shopping platforms became an avenue for scammers where they could sweet talk buyers with their tricks and schemes.

Victim of Scam

Recently, a social media user shared her experience after becoming a victim of an online shopping fraud. Lou Jose, who is a frequent shopper, detailed her experience in buying an item from a popular website to alert the public against online fraud sellers.

According to Lou, she decided to order a television and paid it using her debit card. She thought everything’s working well — after paying, the item was shipped, but upon receiving it, she was surprised to receive something else! Instead of the television she ordered, she received a USB cord and a letter stating that the appliance she ordered is currently out of stock.

Nagorder po ako sa ***** ng Smart TV 32 inches Ship from Overseas Direct from China.. Ung payment tru debit Card. Dahil hindi pwede ang COD. tiwala naman ako sa lazada kaya nagorder ako at binayad ko tru debit Card. Bukod sa matagal Ang delivery, pagkadeliver ng item sa bahay. Sobreng maliit lang nareceive ko. Hinahanap ko sa nagdeliver ung TV. wala daw. Pagkabukas ko sa Sobre Isang USB cord lang ang laman at may Ksamang letter ng seller.

Lou also reached out to the online company but they are yet to respond to her case.

Nagrequest ako ng refund sa lazada dahil hindi naman diniliver ang order ko. pero ang ***** walang aksyon na ginagawa. Sana ireview ng lazada ang mga seller niya. dahil nakakasira sa company niyo ito. Malaking abala at sobramg stress ako sa pangyayari ito. Hindi ako titigil hanggat di ko narerefund ung pinaghirapan kong ipunin.
