Take a Look: Resorts World Manila’s All-Gender Restrooms Promote Gender Equality

Resorts World is taking the spotlight: for a good reason. A netizen posted a photo of the establishment’s restroom which shows no gender discrimination.

The talks about having another restroom for the third gender has been discussed before. It was also discussed during the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 Coronation Night.

Karen Gallman’s Take

During the Q&A segment, Binibing Pilipinas candidate Karen Gallman was asked about her opinion regarding building another restroom for the transgenders. The then-candidate, who was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 last March 18, expressed her agreement on the said issue.

Gallman agreed that like men and women, members of the third sex also wanted privacy.

We have a separate room for the transgenders to serve as equality and privatization.

Mark Bautista also conveyed his reaction to the topic. The singer joked about the topic first before sharing his piece. According to him, the third restroom is for the People With Disability so it should be the fourth restroom for the transgenders.

He stated in another Tweet that people need to be accepting and open. He believes that everyone must be responsible and respectful in using the toilet.

Resorts World Manila’s Restroom

In another Tweet, a netizen under the username Clar Nombres, posted a photo of Resorts World Manila’s restroom, saying that the establishment is doing it right.

Although there are many positive feedback and words of praises for Resorts World in promoting equality among all sexes, there are also a number of netizens who have different opinions.

Some users believe that there should still be separate bathrooms for male and female users while there are others who think that this will cause commotion especially on fast-food chains and rush hours.

What’s your take on having a third bathroom or a common restroom for everyone? We would love to hear your opinion regarding this!
