As we all say, death is inevitable. This is a reality that will come and go. Someone who is laughing today, may, unfortunately, leave us the day after. But what will happen to your family members if you’re gone, especially if you’re the breadwinner?
This is the reason why a lot of people are preparing for their passing away, even if they are still very young, by getting a life insurance. Getting a life insurance assures you that there is something that you can leave to your family. For some people, a life insurance may be considered an added expense, but it is considered a must, especially for those working in a hazardous job.
This is something that a financial advisor in Sunlife Insurances, Rochelle Ilao Dolor, learned after she made the biggest investment of her life. In a Facebook post, she had a potential client whom she was trying to convince to get a life insurance coverage last year. Her client is a hardworking man, a loving husband, and father who provided well for his wife and his four kids.
According to her, she was talking to him to convince this client and the tedious process that they had to go through just to fix the client’s application. However, since the client has different illnesses, including the dreaded hypertension, it became very difficult for both of them to have the life insurance policy approved. They had to secure several doctor’s clearance and laboratory tests to make sure that he is still insurable.
As soon as the client got his life insurance approved, he can’t help but boast about it. He would tell other people that once he’s gone, his family would not have to worry about money anymore. However, little did they know that this loving father would pass away earlier than expected.
Who is the Client?
Rochelle revealed that the client is no other than her father. Their family had a hard time coping up not only with the expense for his father’s burial but also for the loss of their father. Although they are not expecting the insurance claim to be granted since her father only paid once, Sunlife delivered their promise and gave a check to the sole beneficiary of his life insurance.
Upon giving her father’s last love letter and the insurance claim check to her mother, Rochelle can’t help but break down.
Many netizens expressed their sympathy and admiration to the family. Read what some of them have to say here:
