From buying groceries to clothes, shopping is considered a necessity for our everyday life. However, one of the worst nightmare for any shoppers to experience is to have their wallets taken while doing some shopping. If you can easily tell snatchers by looking at their faces before, you will be surprised to see that some of them looked like regular shoppers and some of them are women, who pretend to look at different items and shop like you.
Facebook user Ren Vitug shared the unwanted experience of his girlfriend who got her phone snatched by a group of women while shopping in Robinsons Manila.
According to Ren, his girlfriend was in a shop named The Penthouse when four women pretended to be shoppers like her. In a CCTV footage, the group cramped her and tried to block everything else, including the CCTV, proving that this is not the first time that the group used the same tactic.
In the said video, two women were blocking the way so that the victim will stay in one play. Another one, wearing a cap, blocks the camera with clothes she’s pretending to look at while another person gets the item from the victim’s bag. His girlfriend lost her smartphone to the suspects.
The complainant also added that this is not the first time the same incident happened at the same store. Another phone got stolen by the same group last March 13.
Although it is impossible to get the phone back and apprehending the suspects, Ren wants to let everyone be aware of this modus and be vigilant whenever you go shopping. According to him, he received several messages from different people stating that their items got snatched by the same group in different places.
