Blind Dad Gains Sympathy for Selling Ice Cream with His Son Acting as His “Eyes”

In many parts of the world, there are a lot of unscrupulous individuals who steal other people’s hard-earned money despite being healthy. They could have earned money the honest way but stealing is easier for them to do.

On the other side of the coin are those who are sick and have a handicap, yet are doing their best to earn money to feed their families in the honest way. Even if it is more difficult and challenging for them to do a job, they still continue with the task because they want to earn money without stepping on other people and stealing from them!

Of course, it is this second group of people that receives praise from others. Everyone hates the first group!

For this reason, when Archel Novecio Reli of Novaliches, Quezon City, shared the story of a blind ice cream vendor named Tatay Arnel whose son acts as his “eyes” to see the road so they can sell and earn money together, a lot of netizens didn’t hesitate to contact her and offer what help they could extend for this hardworking pair.

Despite his disability, this dad didn’t turn to begging or other ways to earn money; he knew he had to earn money for his family but did so by selling ice cream even if that meant putting their lives in danger every single day that he is out in the streets.
