After almost 10 years, Kapamilya star Xian Lim left ABS-CBN’s Star Magic and signed up with Viva Artists Agency. His decision to transfer to Viva as a talent was made after his contract with the Kapamilya network’s agency expired.
On January 23, 2018, Lim was welcomed by the executives of Viva Entertainment including Veronique del Rosario and its founder, Vic del Rosario. Stipulated in his 5-year contract includes starring roles in 10 movies and recording under Viva Records.
In an interview, Lim claimed to be excited in doing a lot of movies with Viva Films as he really wanted to focus on his career and expected that people will know him more and appreciate his acting skills. On the other hand, even if the contract states that he can freely work with any network, he still preferred working with ABS-CBN. He claimed that he loves the Kapamilya network and considers it as his home.
With his decision in moving to Viva Artists, he will be joining James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis and Sarah Geronimo, among those Kapamilya stars who were managed by the talent agency.
Lim said that he will always be thankful and grateful for all the projects that Star Magic had given him and all its help to his career particularly to Ms. Mariole Alberto and Mr. Johnny Manahan. As a Star Magic artist, Lim had starred in several films under Star Cinema and released 3 studio albums under Star Music.
Lim’s first movie as a Viva artist is Viva’s own produced film “Miss Granny” with James Reid and Sarah Geronimo on lead roles. Lim considers the project as a big opportunity for him as he always wanted to work with the Pop Superstar.
Meanwhile, fans can still expect to see Lim on projects with “Chinita Princess” Kim Chiu. Lim assured that “KimXi” tandem will always be there.
The Kapamilya star started his acting career in the year 2008 and had been best known for his roles in ABS-CBN’s drama series including “My Binondo Girl”, “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” and “The Story of Us” with Kim Chiu, his love team and real-life sweetheart.
