At her age, 84-year-old veteran actress Gloria Romero claimed she has nothing to wish for her showbiz career. She claimed all that she wanted is good health and to remain active doing TV appearances and movie projects.
In an interview with GMA News during her birthday last December 16, Gloria expressed being grateful for reaching her age and for the blessings she has been receiving. She’s also thankful to God for giving her a fulfilling life in the showbiz industry for more than 6 decades.
Gloria claimed to be able to work with almost all of the artists from different generations. Currently, she has 2 TV shows in GMA-7: “Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko” and “Kambal Karibal”. Being able to memorize long lines and scripts is also one thing Gloria is thankful for.
Among the actresses she had previously worked with, Gloria shared being happy to be working again with Carmina Villaroel whom she had worked with for 9 years in the sitcom “Palibhasa Lalake” at the time Carmina was only 12 years old. She said she saw Carmina while growing up until having wonderful kids with husband Zoren Legaspi.
Meanwhile, Gloria was seen in “Ang Panday” who played the role of Coco Martin’s grandmother. She claimed to feel honored and overwhelmed to be personally chosen by Coco as, despite her busy schedule which might affect their taping days, Coco insisted to work around her availability.
Gloria claimed to be admiring Coco for valuing veteran actors like her.
“Doon ako natuwa sa batang ‘yan kasi may respeto siya sa mga senior stars na tulad namin.”
