She did not suspect that any money was taken because her nephew was seen empty-handed when he left the room.

Planning to bring gifts for the guards of their subdivision, she asked her son to take out the money from her room. To their surprise, they realize that the money was gone.

Twenty pesos was the only money left in her wallet after her nephew stole ₱350,000 of money paid to her by clients from her lending business.

Another ₱100,000 is missing from her family’s savings for their trip to Hong Kong.

She then saw a picture on Facebook of her nephew posing with his ‘ill-acquired fortune’.

Having still logged in the family computer, Ruperto had been planning to steal the money days before. The family also discovered that he had been involved in the murder of a make-up artists, through Facebook chats.

He has a criminal case on charges of a robbery homicide in Imus, Cavite and a qualified theft here in Las Piñas,” said Amante.

Amante also claims that her nephew has been involved in several vices, one of them including shabu.

Amante is calling upon the public to contact her at (0917) 687-0330 with any information on her nephew, John Rodolfo Ruperto (a.k.a. Jay-R).
