“It’s Showtime’s” episode last Wednesday was a tribute to the late Hashtag member, Franco Hernandez, who died in a drowning tragedy on November 11.
The studio was filled with grief and sorrow as tears flowed when the “It’s Showtime” family recalled their happy moments with the ‘bubbly’ Franco while working with him on the show.
Vice Ganda was all tears as he first spoke before the live audience. He said he considered Franco as his “anak-anakan” and he was really affected by his sudden death.
“Umuwi na po siya sa kanyang tunay na tahanan. Wala na po ‘yung anak kong konyo, ‘yung anak kong mayaman. Nalagasan ako ng isang anak.”
Vice also said that it was very hard for him and his co-stars to grieve over the loss of Franco while celebrating the happiest moment with co-star Anne Curtis on her wedding day in New Zealand.
He admitted that he was somehow unfair to Anne because he was unable to attend her wedding’s reception since he really got affected that he could not even smile when he learned of Franco’s passing.
Meanwhile, all Hashtag members were also given the chance to say their message to Franco.
Here are the messages of Kid Yambao and Bugoy Cariño:
Kid Yambao said he enjoyed working with Franco and would always look for him on the show each day.
“Siya ‘yong kasama ko araw-araw. Pag wala siya, hahanapin ko siya. Ite-text ko siya, ‘Ba’t ‘di ka pumasok?'”
Bugoy Cariño said he considered Franco as his elder brother and expressed that he will miss him badly.
“Kuya Franco, mami-miss kita sobra. Kuya Franco, parang totoo na kitang kapatid.”
Franco last appeared on Hashtag’s press conference for their show on ABS-CBN Mobile, “Hashtag Uncovered”.
Franco’s cremation was scheduled last Friday, November 17.
