The 26-year-old Bicolana candidate may have lost the title but she was indeed a winner for all the Filipinos who expressed all out support to her during the pageant. In fact, since the beginning, ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” host-comedian Vice Ganda had been convincing his followers to support Rachel.

Among his tweets read: “Go Rachel! Wag mo na sila antayin. Mag long gown ka na anak! Ako na bahala sa papalag.”

On the other hand, Senator Grace Poe also considered Rachel as a winner in the hearts of the Filipinos for displaying beauty and perseverance on stage, even without the crown.

Anne Curtis-Heussaff also salutes Rachel for making it up to the Top 10.

“Making it to the top 10 is such a feat!”

Beauty title holders such as Ruffa Gutierrez and Venus Raj also gave their messages. Ruffa congratulated Rachel for her amazing performance.

However, Venus seemed to question Miss Universe’s decision being one of those who believed that Rachel will possibly bring home the crown.

Here are the other messages posted for Rachel Peters by those people who believed and had hoped for her win.

Saab Magalona said, “Sayang, I wanted to hear #Philippines Q&A because Rachel Peters answered so well in Binibining Pilipinas.”

Rachel Ho also said on her Tweet, “I really thought she had it there.”

Jodi Sta. Maria Tweeted, “Thank you for representing our country well, Rachel. Proud of You!!”

Meanwhile, in some reports, netizens were blaming Pia Wurtzbach for the loss of Rachel Peters being one among the judges.Β  Netizens speculated that Pia gave Rachel a low score because she wanted to remain the latest Miss Universe from the Philippines.Β  But, then, Pia refused to comment on the issue.
