Have you heard of Junjun, the ghost haunting many call centers in Metro Manila? Call center agents joke that you aren’t a fully-fledged call center agent unless you have encountered Junjun. Eeeek. That sounds rather creepy…
But who is Junjun? It is said that he’s the vengeful spirit of a kid whose call center agent mom brought to the office. Because he wasn’t allowed on the production floor, he stayed at the lobby where he eventually played in the elevators and died.
It’s an urban legend circulating among call center agents but many who have encountered the ghost kid said he is for real.
Twenty five-year-old Mark Ababao revealed that he first encountered Junjun as a newbie call center agent. He was puzzled why a kid was running around on the production floor, only to learn from other agents that this was the creepy kid haunting call centers.
He actually had several encounters with Junjun; although things would get physical at the second call center he worked in because the ghost child there was quite vengeful and was much darker than the faceless Junjun he encountered in his previous job.
During the interview with the team from Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS), Mark also revealed he could feel the presence – and a crew also encountered the ghost in the toilet. Creepy…
Junjun sometimes joins the calls, with a number of voice recordings capturing him talking in the background. One customer even commented about it, telling the agent he’s hearing his ‘little one’; that customer must have thought the agent was running his business from home! The voice records are quite creepy.
But if you are scared of Junjun, wait until you hear about the ghost wrapped in a blanket or shroud. Not only was this ghost photographed by some agents, it would be seen by some paranormal experts invited by the KMJS team to visit the call center.
While shooting the episode, the team also captured a creepy voice that seemingly said, “Let them go.” Really, really freaky!
