The physician board exams are believed to be among the most difficult licensure exams in the Philippines.
It is therefore with great pride that Cong. Samsam Gullas announced that his brother topped the recently concluded physician board exams, getting a rating of 90.50%!
The congressman proudly announced this on Facebook – and netizens were quite amazed to learn that the politician’s younger brother did not just top the physician board exams this year but had also topped the med tech board exams when he took it 5 years ago. What a genius.
5 years ago my brother Vincent Eduoard Anthony “Dandan” Retardo Gullas took the Med Tech Board Exam after he graduated from Velez College.
He made the family proud when he was number 1 and topped the Med Tech Board Exam 5 years ago.
He then studied to become a doctor at the University of Sto. Thomas. Today, he brings us the same happiness we felt 5 years ago as the Physician Board Exam results are out.
NUMBER 1 YET AGAIN. CONGRATULATIONS DAN!! 🙂
So proud of you brother. 🙂
While Dandan Gullas takes with him the flag of the University of Sto. Thomas in his current achievement, the new doctor actually hails from Cebu and is the grandson of 5-term Congressman and incumbent Talisay City Mayor Eduardo Gullas. The family also owns the University of the Visayas (UV), a private school in Cebu City.
According to his mother, Dandan had been a consistent honor student, having topped his class from elementary to high school at Ateneo de Manila University. The young man also graduated magna cum laude from Velez College with the course of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
After topping the board exams in 2012, he went to Manila to fulfill his dream of becoming a physician. Now that he also topped the board exams for doctors, netizens couldn’t help but express their admiration for the young man.
Many admired him for achieving something that rarely happens in the Philippines but some young ladies also couldn’t help but comment that he’s not just a genius, he looks handsome, too!
